How to find phone numbers or Reverse Phone Numbers
Finding someone's phone number is the easiest thing to do with this site because the tools are all here. If you already have the phone number, you can use these tools to find the owner's name, street address and possibly an email address. This is all about how to find someones phone number or reverse it to user name and address.
Most of the phone book sites online create their own databases of phone numbers, addresses and email addresses. They do this by buying the information from phone companies, direct marketing companies and in some cases, by asking you to register your own information. That is why they are out of date within hours. But not us. We don't do things that way. The searches done here are LIVE and 100% accurate.
One common problem with trying to call an old friend is the constant change of area codes and also number portability. If you have an old phone number that used to work and doesn't now, the area code simply may have changed. Use this
area code page to see if you can find the new area code or country code. This site for Area codescontains area codes for the USA and Canada.
If you can't find the number you are looking for using free web site searches, it is probably an unlisted phone number or cell phone number you have. Unlisted phone numbers are nearly impossible to get yourself and they are very common. Your best approach for obtaining an unlisted phone number; be it a cell phone or a landline number is topay a professional. If it is a Landline number and not a cell phone, go here.
Below is an explanation of phone trace tools:
Reverse Directories (Use a reverse directory when you already have the phone number.)
Reverse directories are phone books that are listed by phone number. All you need do is go to the site and input the phone number. Hopefully the database contains the name. Be sure to try all the reverse directories. It is very important that you use the right area code. The sites with an area code decoder will help you find the right area code. If you don't know the city for the phone number, you can use the area code decoder to find out where the phone number is and then ask for other area codes in the same city. Try out all the area codes in the reverse directory search if you are not sure that the number is up to date.
You can ask your phone company billing office who the phone number belongs to. The phone company is not supposed to give that information out, but if you use a story such as you are trying to confirm "which one of my children made the call and is going to pay for the call", the operator might tell you or at least give you some of the information. Last but not least, you could call the number yourself and ask. ;-) (Gee...Why didn't I think of that?) Probably because of caller ID - you probably don't want the person to know you are trying to figure out who they are, especially in oh so many cases such as marriage affairs, scummy contractors, etc...the list is exausting.
Phone Books (Use if you have an address, with a name and state you can find the phone number if it is listed)
The online phone books will help you to find a phone number when you provide a name and/or address of the person you are looking for. It is always worth trying all of the online phone books if you don't find the information you are looking for. I may sound repetitive, but it is worth noting that they don't share the same database.
If that does not work, you may go here to get the information. If you don't get the info, you don't pay - the 3rd banking party refunds every penny. If it is a Landline number and not a cell phone, go here. Either site will also gladly use an address you may have and get you the number and the name that goes with it. Or reverse a number you already have to the persons name and address; (in the case of cell phones, it is the billing address). This, of course, only makes sense as cell phones are mobile!
